Dr. Isuru Seneviratne

Dr Isuru Seneviratne is a Respiratory Specialist.  He Graduated from the University of Auckland in 2008.  He is a dual Specialist in Thoracic Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine.

Dr Seneviratne is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians since 2018 and a Fellow of the College of Intestive Care medicine since 2019.

He has worked in clinical centres of excellence across Australia and New Zealand, and completed a fellowship in Lung Transplantation and Pulmonary Hypertension in Brisbane.

    Sleep apnoea is a very common condition affecting a significant proportion of the population. Many are unaware they have it as patients often feel that they “sleep well”.
    An apnoea refers to a cessation of breathing for a short time. Patients with sleep apnoea can stop breathing many times in an hour.

  • Insomnia

    Insomnia is a very common problem in the community. It encompasses difficulty falling asleep (sleep onset insomnia) and difficulty staying asleep (sleep maintenance insomnia). Insomnia becomes a problem when it affects daytime function.
